What is FAEA Scholarship?

The purpose of this scholarship program is to provide monetary support to talented and economically backwards students to complete their graduation in Arts, Commerce, Engineering or other technical or professional branches.

The Foundation for Academic Excellence & Access organisation accepts donations and sponsorships from affluent people and companies. This organisation also receive grants and financial assistance from the central government and various state government, charitable trust and national and international agencies. Foundation for Academic Excellence & Access organisation uses these funds for scholarships, fellowships and training programmes for needy students. TATA is one of the sponsors of the FAEA scholarship. 

The students who are entitled to get the FAEA scholarship are known as FAEA scholars. The following benefits will be made available to FAEA scholars.

  • Allowance for Books
  • Allowance for Clothing
  • Allowance for Travelling
  • Miscellaneous Allowance
  • Charges for Hostel and Mess

The FAEA scholars can not avail the benefit of two scholarships but if the candidates are getting the benefit of SC/ST/OBC/Women scholarships which are sponsored by central or state governments then they should inform the FAEA organisation so that the amount of scholarship given by the FAEA will be modified accordingly. This is necessary to inform the organisation about the benefits of other scholarships otherwise non-disclosure may lead to the cancellation of the FAEA scholarship.

The candidate will have to renew the scholarship every year and for the renewal of the scholarship, the academic performance of the candidate should be satisfactory.

The FAEA scholarship can be avail for any course in India but the admission of the candidate should be in the free seat or through the counselling session after the entrance exam and not through the management seat. Like CLAT for Law graduation or CUET UG exam for various courses in universities throughout India or the NEST exam for admission to the National Institute of Science Education and Research.

What is the eligibility for getting FAEA Scholarship?

The students who want to apply for the FAEA scholarship should have passed the class 12th exam from the recognised board or they should have confirmed their admission to the first year of graduation.

The Student should belong to the socially and economically underprivileged section like SC/ST/OBC.

If a candidate belongs to the general category then they are eligible for need cum merit-based financial grants but the student should have obtained marks above 90% in their Higher Secondary Exam and/or should have gotten admission to the first-rate Institution of Excellence in India.

How to Apply for the FAEA Scholarship?

The candidate will have to register themself on the FAEA website by filling out the online form. For applying offline the candidate will have to download the application forms from the FAEA website and will have to submit them through the post. The most preferred way of applying to the FAEA scholarship is the online method because one can have track of the application. 

The following documents will be needed to apply for the FAEA scholarship.

  • Application letter signed by the student.
  • Certified photocopy of class 10th and 12th mark sheets duly attested by the principal of the school.
  • 3 recently clicked passport-sized photographs attested by the principal or gazetted officer.
  • Family income certificate of the recent past year issued by an authorised government department. 
  • If the candidate belongs to the SC/ST/OBC or other reserved castes, then the caste certificate issued by the authorised government department will be required. 
  • The complete mailing address of home and college 
  • The details of the course in which the student is admitted. 
  • Bank details for getting financial assistance.
  • The certificate of expenses issued by the principal of the college.
  • Fee receipts of hostel and mess attested by the principal.
