What is Reliance Foundation Scholarship?

Reliance Industries Limited is a renowned company. For doing philanthropic work for society the company has established the Reliance Foundation which is led by Smt. Nita Mukesh Ambani. Reliance Foundation Scholarship Award is one of many other social work which is done by the foundation every year. This foundation continuously works toward transforming the life of the deprived and improving their quality of life. 

Reliance Foundation Scholarship has been awarded to 100 students every year to study the field of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics & Computing and Electrical or Electronics engineering. This foundation identifies the bright and best students through a competitive selection process and then select 60 students for undergraduate scholarship and 40 students for post-graduate scholarship

Students who are in the first year of their course have to apply for this scholarship. The students who are completing the undergraduate course will get the benefit of up to Rs 4 Lakh for their degree programme and the students who are completing their post-graduate course will get the benefit of up to Rs 6 Lakh for their Post graduate degree programme. The benefit of funds will be given annually to the student out of which 80% amount will be given at the start of the academic year which will be used for tuition fees and academic expenses. The other 20% amount will be given on the request for supporting the professional development and personal development expense. The selected candidate will also get the mentoring and internship opportunity and will join the strong alumni network.

The best part of the Reliance foundation scholarship is that students are allowed to accept the other award or scholarships in conjunction with this scholarship and there is no family income barrier to getting this scholarship. All you need is good academics and should pass the eligibility questionnaire and criteria.

What is the eligibility for Reliance Foundation Scholarship?

Eligibility for reliance scholarshipThe student should be a resident of India and currently admitted to the degree programme which falls within the field of Artificial Intelligence/ Computer Science/Mathematics & Computing/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

For getting an undergraduate scholarship, the student should secure a rank up to 35000 in JEE Main Examination. For getting a Postgraduate scholarship, the student should secure up to1000 rank in the GATE examination. The student who has not attempted the GATE exam should have scored 7.5 or above CGPA in their undergraduate degree.

Only the students who are in the 1st year of their graduate or post-graduate degree programme are eligible to apply for the Reliance Foundation scholarship. 

The student who has enrolled themself in any college in India are eligible for this scholarship regarding the course should fall within the specified fields and the admission should be on regular basis.

Students are not required to fall within a certain family income group to be eligible for this scholarship. So Family Income is not a criterion for applying for this scholarship.

There will be an online questionnaire which students have to solve while applying for the scholarship along with two essays which they have to write of about 4000 characters each on the given topic. 

The candidate will also have to submit the academic & character reference letter with the application. The referee should be anyone from the student’s high school teacher or university teacher or coaching institute teacher, sports supervisor or voluntary activity supervisor. The referee should not be the family member or blood relative of the student or the person who does not know the student. The reference from the employees of Reliance Foundation will also not be applicable. 

The Reliance Foundation will scrutinise the application received throughout the country and will select 60 students for undergraduate scholarships and 40 students for postgraduate scholarships.

How to Apply for Reliance Foundation Scholarship?

If you are eligible to apply for the scholarship then you have to visit the Reliance Foundation Scholarship website. There you will find the application portal from where you can apply for the scholarship.

Students have to apply for the scholarship after their admission to the college and the application generally remains open up to February. Students will be get confirmed for their scholarship award up to June.

The applicant will require to solve the questionnaire while applying for the scholarship. The shortlisted candidate will have to attained a personal interview before getting selected for the Reliance Foundation Scholarship.
