What is JEE Advanced Exam?

jeeAfter appearing JEE Mains and getting successfully ranked, a candidate can appear for JEE Advanced exam. 

The level of question in this exam are advanced level. Depth of knowledge in particular subject matters. Though exam pattern is unpredictable, problem solving skills matters more than practice.

JEE Advanced exam is designed specially for getting admission in Indian Insitute of Technology. Every year IIT makes the finest scientists and engineers. Presently there are 23 IITs in India which are as follows

After clearing JEE Advanced one can take admission in undergraduate courses in engineering. Some IITs offer Dual Degree where a candidate may pursue B.Tech. Honers and B.Tech with minors.

Eligibility for Appearing JEE Advanced Exam :

eligibilityThe eligibility for applying JEE Advanced Exam is the same as of JEE Mains Exam. The only other requirement is the performance in JEE Mains Exam

A candidate should be among the top 2,50,000 candidates who appeared in JEE Mains Exam.

There is a category-wise distribution of top candidates for eligibility for JEE Advanced.

In a consecutive year, a candidate can attempt JEE Advanced exam a maximum of two times.  

If a candidate is admitted to any IITs or accepted the seat by online reporting then a candidate will not be eligible for JEE Advanced exam. Even if admission is cancelled for whatever reason a candidate can not appear for JEE Advanced Exam.

How to Apply For JEE Advanced Exam?

Documents which is required for online registration are almost the same as JEE Mains exam. 

JEE Advanced Paper Pattern and Syllabus

jee-advancedThe uniqueness of JEE Advanced Exam is that no one can predict the pattern of the EXAM, unlike JEE Mains. Every year they change the pattern of the exam and the variety of questions in this exam.

In this exam candidates’ analytical skills and accuracy are very important. Hence a candidate should work on it. The syllabus of JEE Advanced Exam is the same as of JEE Mains exam.
