Nationality : A candidate who is applying for the IBPS PO exam must be either a Citizen of India or a Subject of Nepal or a Subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came to India with intention to permanently settling in India. 

 

 

Age : The Age criteria of a candidates who wants to apply to the IBPS Clerk exam is minimum age 20 years and maximum age is 28 years. There is an upper age limit relaxation for certain category candidates as follows.

5 Year age relaxation – SC and ST candidates.

3 Year age relaxation – OBC (Non creamy layer) candidates.

10 Years age relaxation – Person with Benchmark disabilities.

5 Years age relaxation – Ex Service men.

5 Year age relaxation – Person affected by 1984 riots.

Education Qualification : A Graduation Degree in any discipline from a University recognised by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.

When IBPS Conducts IBPS Clerk Exam?

According to the schedule given by the IBPS, the tentative dates of IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam is September 2022 and IBPS Clerk Mains Exam will be conducted in October 2022. The tentative date of IBPS Clerk Exam result is April 2023.

Syllabus of IBPS Clerk Exam :

IBPS Clerk Exam is divided in 2 Parts 

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Mains Exam

The pattern of Preliminary Exam is as follows:

A candidate gets seprate time to to solve each subject test and Candidate have to clear in each subject to get qualify for the Mains Exam. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks. i.e for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be cut off.

The toughness of the questions in Mains exam is quite higher than Preliminary Exam but with a proper preparation its very easy to crack this exam. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks in Mains Exam as well . So candidate have to take care while guessing the answers. While  preparing for IBPS Clerk exam , a candidate can also prepare for IBPS PO exam because syllabus of both exam is quite similar.
